Thank you for never giving up on me.
“The toughest thing about this episode, writing-wise, was trying to find, what’s the emotional thread that’s gonna get us through? And it was like, well this should be about Barry and Fuches. You know, Barry again realizing Fuches has always been the person in his life. He was there when he got back fron Afghanistan. I love the way Stephen looks in that dream, how he looks all dark. I mean, he looks like a demon or something.
But Barry, at the end of this episode, kind of realizes, like, ‘Oh, that was… that was going into the arms of the devil.”

2x01 // 2x08 | “I wanted the season to be bookended by Barry coming out of darkness and then retreating into darkness… So he lives in the shadows and tried to come out into the light to live this virtuous life, and he just can’t do it. When I watch that, it’s this weird acceptance of who he is.”
I think the real first time he ever actually, I think, felt love for somebody was Eddie...

And now, it’s time to leave and turn to dust.

Imagine how scared Robin was when she told Steve about being gay. Not only had she previously known Steve for being a bit of a douche but they’re from a small American town in the mid 80s where acceptance obviously was small. And like not only that but she revealed it once she’d been asked out which was probably scarier because obviously some guys can act terribly when rejected.like she was so fucking brave to do that. Then for Steve to just be like oh ok and treating her exactly the same as he did before just made my heart happy because you could see the fear in her eyes when Steve paused for a moment. I love this duo.
